Nairobi, August 2, 2011 - Fanisi Venture Capital Fund S.C.A., SICAV-SIF (Fanisi) has invested in Hillcrest International Schools (www.hillcrest.ac.ke) through a new company, Hillcrest Investment Limited. With this transaction, Fanisi has begun its engagement in the education sector, a key sector for building the talent and human resource base for East Africa's economies. Fanisi's partner in this transaction, Mr. Anthony Wahome, brings considerable business acumen as a successful investor. His investments span the technology and education sectors, and include investment in the Linksoft Group of companies and Rose of Sharon Academy, a premier school that follows the Kenyan curriculum. |
